C.T.BOLTS BACKGROUND
Originally established in 1954 by Mr C.F.Mitchell and Mrs T.E.Mitchell, his wife.
Rhobolts, as it was named, remained a private company for 51 years. In 1980 the name was changed to C.T.Bolts. C.T.Bolts then merged with Zimplow Limited in 2006 and became a division, the other being Mealie Brand, part of a public company, in 2006.
C.T.Bolts initially started as an importer/distributor of fasteners. The Harare distribution outlet was set up in 1957 to cater for a growing market in that area.
The factory, which is situated in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second largest city, was started in 1962 to cater for small requirements of customers and developed into the largest machine shop in the country specialising in fasteners.
C.T.Bolts’s growth has been mainly contributed to its vast range of stock on hand, competitive pricing and the ability to manufacture non-standard items timorously and of good quality to satisfy the customers.
